At the edge of England's Last Wilderness

Staward Villa Cottage is located close to the confluence of the East and West Allen rivers and lies at the edge of the North Pennine Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This vast region of underpopulated, open moorland was once described by TV naturalist David Bellamy as "England's last wilderness" and here the intrepid can roam for hours with only lapwings and skylarks for company.
